Introduction and Overview

As the need for global eye health grows, we continue to grow with it, providing powerful, proven technologies that help people all over the world experience the visual freedom to live their lives to their fullest potential. We would like to lead this journey, connecting with our current and future contact lens wearers by driving strategic partnerships with our retailer customers to enable us to connect with contact lenses customers in both the traditional bricks and mortar and the e-commerce channels.

Currently, we are seeking for the BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER for IBERIA, a mid-size market of the Vision Care business and is part, in a cluster of countries with Italy, of the Western Europe region.

The market has substantial sales and an important people organization to manage.

It is also made of 2 different countries, Spain and Portugal, with different Go To Market models, a high degree of complexity - with different customer types and strong presence of pan European Key accounts.

Position Summary

The Iberia BUM will be responsible for leading, shaping and directing all aspects of the local market organizations by defining the strategic objectives and cascading through the business plans to ensure excellence in execution.

The BUM has P&L responsibility for the markets and direct responsibility for sales and marketing organizations with dotted lines to Functional leads (Finance, Professional Affairs and Customer Service).

Main Responsibilities

Build the strategic direction to lead the organization, achieving alignment with Cluster GM and Senior Regional Management. Define priorities to meet the annual BP objectives. Ensure the organizational ability to implement the business plans from a process, people and infrastructure standpoint. Manage top and bottom-line targets through careful financial review and planning. Build strong customer relationships with Key Accounts and strong professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders. Represent the local perspective in regional discussions and play a lead role in regional projects/initiatives. Motivate and develop a high-performance team. Ensure that the organization follows the correct processes, especially in the area of compliance and business integrity. Champion Credo & D&I. Ensure that the organization is Credo focused, has passion and is motivated to win. Promote diversity, equity & inclusion. Foster an environment for innovation with measured risk taking through high engagement and an expectation to innovate and change. Minimum education required for competent performance: Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred Solid Experience in Sales and Marketing Management preferably in FMCG / OTC, MedTech / Pharma can be considered Experience in Category management and KA dynamics, in development of Strategies for Professionals, with willingness to spend a large amount of Customer facing time Strong analytical skills Proven experience with P&L management Success in managing a multi-layered organization and in developing future leaders Strength in managing cross-functional and cross-country stakeholders (i.e. Supply Chain, Professional Education and Regional Marketing) Knowledge of the Vision Care Business is a plus Previous Business Management experience is a plus Fluent English and Spanish.
