What will your essential responsibilities include?

Role Purpose

· Providing oversight and direction related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and resolution of First Party claims (Property/Care/Energy, Marine and Niche Specialty)

· Monitoring First Party Claims portfolio, produce and manage the relevant metrics, control department workload

· Partnering with key stakeholders to establish claim value and service proposition

· Assisting underwriting partners in attracting and retaining business, and improving UW products

· Supporting claims specialists on individual files

· Providing feedback and guidance to First Party claims team

· This role also involves the management of Third Party Administrators with local, regional and global exposure and participation and even leadership in cross-cutting projects beyond claims

This position reports to the Head of Claims, Spain.

Capabilities and qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum experience 10 years in claims handling (Property, Care, Marine and/or Specialties)

· Minimum experience 2 years in team management

· Fluent in Spanish and English

· Significant experience working directly with brokers and insureds

· Data skills, with PowerBi and analog tools knowledge. Soft skills, proactive mindset and out of the box thinking are key

· Experience managing TPAs is an asset

OneAXA

· Promote an OneAXA engagement model with the AXA Entities operating in Spain, share best practice

· Co-Responsible for the local governance and monitoring of local synergies and boundaries

· Training/support for local people on how best to leverage OneAXA entities

· Coordinate and support revenue synergies and One AXA client experience within the country

· Escalation & Troubleshooting

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

· Hands-on team leadership / management / supervision demonstrating increasing responsibilities and knowledge of team motivation principles and practices.

· Knowledge of functionality of systems including strong technical skills with Microsoft Office and other relevant systems

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills combined with a strong work ethic.

· Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation and to be a role model for collaboration throughout integration an onwards into the future.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, communication including active listening skills, networking, marketing and collaboration skills evidencing public speaking and presentation experience.

· Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, producers and brokers as well as across the AXA XL and AXA Group enterprise

· Strong time management skills; ability to successfully multi task.

· Ability to lead in accordance with AXA XL’s Core Values and Culture.

· Fluent in English.
