The Strategic Planning team, under the Marketing Strategy & Operations department, is dedicated to the coordination, planning, and execution of Eventbrite's marketing strategy and business planning. We strive for excellence in strategy coordination, planning, budgeting, OKR coordination, performance reporting, and strategic analysis to drive Eventbrite's growth.
THE ROLEAs a Marketing Strategy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and executing Eventbrite’s marketing strategy and planning processes. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across Marketing to set and track OKRs, track channel, and content performance, and coordinate the development of Eventbrite’s marketing strategies. Strong analytical capabilities, spreadsheet modeling, a strategic mindset, and stakeholder management skills will be key to success in this role.
A day in your role ...Your day begins with a fresh cup of coffee and the performance data from the previous week across all marketing channels. The impressions have increased twofold compared to the previous week and you want to know why and which channels helped deliver them. You do a series of deep dives from different angles and conclude several hypotheses. You check in with the relevant marketing channel leads to confirm these hypotheses and get more context on their launched activations. With these insights, you build a report and send it to marketing and business leadership as a pre-read before being presented the following day.
Mid-morning is dedicated to OKR definition. The CMO has asked us to track a new objective and you analyze several metrics to understand which one would be the best one to use. You finalize the analysis and meet with the person who would own the delivery of this OKR to share the proposed metric and monthly targets based on historical data, seasonality, and the expected growth of our business. The OKR owner queries your analysis to understand the rationale behind your proposal and you both close the meeting with a green light to move forward with the new OKR proposal.
As the day progresses, you focus on a content franchise analysis to inform if said franchise is delivering the marketing objectives it was expected to deliver. Turns out the content franchise is performing “ok” but you feel some tweaks could be done to improve its conversion. You reach out to the relevant channels, discuss the interesting findings with them, and conclude that some changes should be made to further improve it.
As you are closing for the day, the CMO slacks you to thank you for the quick turnaround on the new OKR proposal and asks that you include it in the next Monthly OKR Meeting.

Responsibilities:- Lead the coordination and execution of the annual marketing strategy and planning.
- Manage the marketing budget coordination process to align with strategic priorities.
- Facilitate the biannual OKR setting and tracking process, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct monthly OKRs performance reporting, providing insights and recommendations.
- Perform strategic analysis on an ad-hoc basis to support decision-making and strategy refinement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategies are effectively implemented and results are achieved.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing strategy, analytics, or a related field, ideally within a consulting firm or high-growth tech company.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze external trends and internal performance to pinpoint key insights.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and processes across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working effectively in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
