Our client is one of the Big Five companies in the American information technology industry that specialises in Internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, a search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware.

Challenge

- Anticipate, identify, and recommend creative ways to improve on solutions to defined problems via evaluation and analysis of data and business needs.

- Troubleshoot commonly escalated issues or triage when required.

Influence

- Work within one or more teams to communicate project knowledge and priorities, providing guidance to more junior team members.

- Identify key stakeholders internally and externally to build networks and contribute to cross-team collaborations and training.

- As needed, act as a point of contact in TVC engagements (e.g., escalation).

- Communicate effectively with internal teams.

- Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned component(s) of a client/stakeholder project.

- Identify and recommend creative ways to leverage and/or enhance existing processes and/or tools through optimisation.

Expertise

- Demonstrate full-working knowledge of areas of expertise, and an understanding of related areas of the Google organisation, including understanding of technologies, process impacts, and upstream/downstream processes and functions.

- Exercise working knowledge of translating commercial business models/needs into solutions.

Responsibilities under the direction of Google ManagerDriving efficiencies

- Support updating of existing solution content or create repeatable content (e.g., best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code) and ensure effective documentation of repeatable solutions.

- Contribute to delivery of business efficiency plans (BEP), recognises current inefficiencies and proposes options.

Partner strategy for solutions

- Help generate partner insights and participate in business reviews with partners to formulate partner strategies, with minimal guidance. Help provide reactive consultation to partners to identify new business opportunities. Contribute to the execution of partner strategies to adopt Google technologies.

Project management

- Manage project planning, status reporting, time-line estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.

- Propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges.

Solution delivery

- Execute solutions, with occasional support from peers/community, based on user/partner/client business objectives and technical requirements that have been previously defined, developed, and approved.

Solution delivery improvement

- Help identify trends of solution issues across users/partners/clients and collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering) to mitigate risks in the future with some guidance. Contribute to developing initiatives and practices to improve solution delivery, develop new delivery workflows, and drive solution innovation with some guidance.

Solution development and scoping

- Help leverage, customise, or develop technical or nontechnical solutions based on defined user/partner/client business objectives that are compliant with legal, with minimal guidance.

- Support discussions with internal teams and users/partners/clients to define solution constraints and scope with minimal guidance. Help articulate the value of solutions through design sessions with the user/partner/client with minimal guidance.

- Support architecture design and/or feature requests with product teams for solution development.

Solution strategy

- Support defining of long-term solution strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams and influence the direction and priority of technical product features and/or the solution with minimal guidance.

User customer experience feedback

- Support assessment and identification of gaps and issues in current products based on user feedback or metrics analysis and quantify impact of solving/the consequences of leaving issues unsolved.

- Support communication of product gaps and issues to internal teams (e.g., Product Management, Business Development, Engineering).

- Support solving gaps and issues by contribution that can take the form of developing, validating, and documenting new features/solutions for internal or external products.

- Support collaboration with manager-level stakeholders to troubleshoot or develop the most optimal solutions and enhance offerings.

- Support coaching internal and external teams on new solutions/systems, user/partner/client ecosystem, and industry landscape.

- Address escalations to and from stakeholders.

Stakeholder relationship management

- Help to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in user/partner/client/internal organisations to deliver or manage quality solutions and services with minimal guidance.

- Contribute to advising on best practices to optimise internal stakeholder/client use of technology to support their business processes with minimal guidance.

- Help enhance relationships and seek out new opportunities through consultation and engagement with minimal guidance.

- Ability to understand stakeholder needs through dialogue before conducting analysis and making recommendations.

- Ability to utilise open, closed, and leading questioning techniques to understand underlying beliefs, motivations, and causes for behaviours, needs, and desires.

- Ability to develop, understand, and apply domain-specific technical knowledge to complete assigned work, tasks, and support others in the organisation.

Google solutions

- Ability to articulate how customers and partners can use Google products, services, and solutions to identify needs, solve problems, and drive growth.

Industry knowledge

- Knowledge of the changing landscape of the industry, product areas, other key players, and/or markets including technology trends and issues that affect the operations of one's business and organisation.

Operations management

- Ability to manage and execute operational processes, including adherence to documented procedures, definition of SLAs, definition of location and time zone strategy, capacity planning, quality control and oversight of outsourcing partners.

Opportunity and pipeline management

- Ability to discover opportunities to deliver expanded customer value by effectively managing the pipeline throughout the entire sales/customer lifecycle.

Problem-solving

- Ability to use critical thinking and diverse data to solve problems, drive decision-making, and make improvements.

Project management

- Knowledge of project planning methodology, deployment planning process, and sequence. This includes the ability to understand, or to manage smaller parts or phases of a bigger project, or an understanding of how to translate capacity demand into a low-level production system project plan.

- Ability to interact confidently, clearly, and respectfully with others, especially senior leaders of the organisation, to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program or solution. This includes the ability to effectively address difficult questions, handle push-backs from a high-level audience, and maintain a professional demeanour while engaging in difficult or sometimes high-pressure situations.

- Ability to create positive relationships with stakeholders through the appropriate management of expectations and agreed objectives. Including building trust, collaborative relationships, and rapport with different functional stakeholders.
