Wallapop is currently the largest advertising platform for secondhand cars from private sellers, and the second largest overall in Spain. We want to continue the high growth from the past couple of years by further penetrating the dealer market and creating synergies within our portfolio of offerings. We also want to explore how we can innovate and increase the value of our services for sellers.As the Business Lead for Motors you will define the general strategy to drive market penetration and revenue growth. You will manage the full Motors vertical, including all relevant categories (cars, motorcycles, auto parts and accessories), target customers (both dealers and private sellers) and sales channels (self-serve and commercial). You will also take responsibility for further developing strategic partnerships to improve our value proposition and acquire new customers. You will be responsible for coordinating all efforts and initiatives across the various functions involved, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer support. This role will operate in a cross-functional, tribe-oriented organisation, and therefore requires strong influence and collaboration skills.What You Will Do ðDefine our Motors strategy to improve our competitive position and become the leading classifieds platform for our Motors categories in Spain (and potentially later abroad)Drive the processes to define yearly amp; quarterly business objectives in collaboration with all relevant stakeholdersCollaborate closely with the cross-functional team to translate strategy into operational plans that will help to achieve the set objectives and targetsTake full ownership of the key objectives and results, drive execution and report proactively on progress amp; challengesPartner with Product, Marketing and RevOps to develop an aligned roadmap for the teamAnalyse amp; improve our current professional proposition and pricing as well as our proposition for private sellers to ensure we maintain our leading position in the marketIdentify, quantify amp; prioritise new opportunities to improve and innovate our value proposition towards buyers and sellers and drive revenue growthCreate realistic business cases to drive make/partner/buy decisionsManage the full Pamp;L of our Motors businessWhat We’re Looking For ðKnowledge of and passion for the automobile industry, in classifieds or marketplace contextBachelor or Master’s degree in business or engineeringRelevant work experience in business management and/or strategic consulting in the field of classifieds and/or e-commerceProven experience in developing and delivering business strategyExperience in managing a cross-functional team for an internet companyCustomer-centric mindset in everything you doProven track record of delivering results against ambitious Pamp;L targetsCommercial and creative mindset, balancing pragmatic solutions with long-term goalsGoal-oriented, self-motivated and self-directedMotivated to take full ownership and include relevant partners from start to endFluent in Spanish and EnglishWhat Would Be A Plus ðBusiness development experience in SMB solutionsExperience with agile working environment in a start- or scale-up companyDo note that all our jobs are ð Barcelona based.We work in a hybrid model, we offer a flexible work environment where regular office attendance is expected for which the frequency is determined at a team level.Wallapop is an equal opportunity employer.
