The AP Operations Specialist position reports directly to the Global Accounts Payable Operations Manager at JBT SSC. The position provides direct support to North American entities within JBT group. The AP Operations specialist is responsible for assisting in invoice processing through AP Advantage, including entry of invoices, problem analysis and resolution. The AP Operations Specialist has as key responsabilities: Utilize APA automation tool to drive invoice processing, approvals, efficiencies, automation and compliance. Review of correspondence and exception inbox. Data entry into payable systems. Processing of vendor invoices and credit memos. Provide assistance to facilitate the recording of expenditures. ERP knowledge to perform any analysis needed to complete the invoice booking process. Constant cooperation with AP Accounting team and other SSC departments. Communication with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate higher level / more complex issues to AP Supervisor and/or AP Manager. Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion. Cooperation with APAdvantage owner (PNC) and JBT IT teams. Advanced payment invoices analysis and booking process. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance preferred; Will consider years of experience in replacement of degree. At least 2 years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Accounts Payable and financial systems. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel Experience in communication with business internal customers and external suppliers to resolve issues. Languages: Fluent verbal /written Spanish and English. Any other language desirable Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications: Functional knowledge of the AP operational processes. Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Understanding of internal control elements. English good written and oral communication skills. Highly organized. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent customer service skills Teamwork, detail oriented. Why work at JBT ... Mobility: Position based in Madrid (San Fernando de Henares) and limited travelling within European Union or USA might be required. We offer: permanent contract. As the position requires working with North American entities, the schedule must be adapted by starting in the morning by 11am-12.
