We are seeking a hands-on Backend Developer to join our motivated team at fundcraft. In this role, you will contribute to the growth and success of the fundcraft brand by delivering effective backend solutions. You'll participate in collaborative code reviews and assist with automated end-to-end testing, helping us maintain quality throughout our product development process.

• Backend: Python with FastAPI, Django, and Celery, leveraging clean architecture principles to build robust, scalable APIs and efficiently manage asynchronous task processing.
• Frontend: ReactJS, delivering a seamless and responsive user experience.
• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS Cloud, providing the backbone for our highly available and scalable infrastructure.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker for containerized application management, ensuring consistent and reliable deployments.
• Databases: PostgreSQL for relational data storage, Redis and MongoDB, designed for scalability and high performance.
• API Design: OpenAPI standards for clear, maintainable, and scalable API development
• CI/CD: GHA, continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines enabling fast, efficient deployments.
• Testing: Unit tests, automated end-to-end (e2e) testing, quality gates to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaboration Tools: Agile workflows powered by Jira and Confluence to keep our teams aligned and efficient.

 About the Role:

As a Backend Engineer, you play a pivotal role within our engineering team, leveraging your knowledge to design, develop and maintain robust backend solutions. This position is at the forefront of technical innovation, requiring you to develop scalable high-performance backend systems that will serve as the foundation for the fundcraft platform. Collaboration is key in this role as you work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and frameworks, gaining hands-on experience in backend development within the fund industry. From designing elegant solutions to tackling complex challenges, you'll be part of a collaborative culture that values innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our platform and the satisfaction of our users, driving forward our mission to revolutionize financial services through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development, implement, and maintain backend solutions using programming languages such as Python, Docker and AWS Cloud technologies. 
• Develop and optimize APIs to support various frontend applications and external integrations, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Write automated unit tests and integration tests to validate backend functionality and ensure code quality and reliability. 
• Collaborate with QA engineers to conduct thorough testing and debugging, and address any issues or bugs in a timely manner.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of backend systems, APIs, and processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure code maintainability. 
• Share technical insights and best practices with team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives and user needs. 
• Communicate effectively with team members, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and progress.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 years of proven experience as a Python developer.
• Strong willigness in developing, deploying, and maintaining web-based applications using Python.
• Commitment to writing clean, efficient, and high-quality code.
• Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English.
