About the role:
As a Frontend Engineer, you are a key player in our tech team, driving the development of user interfaces that power fundcraft’s digital-native platform. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate business needs into robust, high-performance web applications. You will also collaborate on maintaining and optimising our AWS-based production infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Frontend Engineer with a strong background in modern frontend development to join our team. The candidate should be skilled in translating design concepts into high-quality, scalable React components, and have experience with tools such as Redux, Axios, and redux-saga. You will thrive in Agile environments, actively contribute to technical discussions about AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, and be driven by a passion for innovation. This role is perfect for someone eager to make an impact in a dynamic, tech-driven company that is transforming the financial industry.
This position is based in Girona, Spain, and reports to our Lead Frontend Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and enhance user interfaces, bringing ideas to life through React and modern web technologies.
- Participate in development sprints, contributing to planning, design, and delivery of new features and enhancements.
- Translate Figma designs into reusable, high-quality React components, maintaining consistency and scalability using Storybook.
- Implement state management solutions using Redux, handle API interactions with Axios, and manage side effects with redux-saga.
- Oversee and review pull requests from fellow engineers, ensuring high code quality, adherence to standards, and efficient performance.
- Integrate external libraries and tools such as WYSIWYG editors, Docusign, and ReactFlow to enhance the platform’s functionality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Frontend Engineer
- Proven experience with ReactJS/Redux in production environments, along with integrating and working with RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of core front-end technologies: HTML, CSS frameworks (such as Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.), and JavaScript
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish
Skills & Expected Behaviours:
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend development tools and frameworks, with a focus on delivering efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers, to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges, with an ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimise web applications.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and priorities.
- Take full responsibility for your tasks, from concept to implementation, and be willing to review and improve upon your work continuously.
