As a Principal Software Engineer on the Elasticsearch - Search Infra team, you define and drive the core search infrastructure for Elasticsearch. You will shape the long-term technical direction, contribute to indexing, retrieval, and relevance, and mentor a global group of engineers. You’ll turn research in search internals into scalable, high-performance systems and collaborate with product teams to align roadmap with user needs. This role offers the chance to influence a widely-used platform that powers search at scale and enables real-time AI-driven insights. You will work autonomously across distributed teams to deliver impactful, technically solid foundations.

Responsabilidades
- Define, lead, and contribute to the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities
- Research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms
- Shape the long-term technical vision for search at Elastic and align with partner and product teams
- Drive an innovative roadmap for indexing, query execution, and relevance
- Serve as an authority in Elasticsearch domains and mentor other engineers
- Collaborate across distributed teams to deliver robust, high-performance software
Requisitos principales
- Experience leading technical projects in search infrastructure and distributed systems
- Proven ability to build and operate sophisticated search platforms and robust software
- Experience mentoring xhfqzwm expert engineers
- Ability to define a long-term technical vision for core search or retrieval systems
- Hands-on with Elasticsearch, Lucene, or Solr
- Strong Java skills, knowledge of data structures and concurrency, familiarity with lambdas
- Experience with large-scale data or search systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication;
