The Role: Senior HPC Systems Administrator (Scientific Computing)Location: Community of Madrid, Spain
We are looking for a Senior HPC Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, Linux administration, automation, and workload management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, maintain, and optimize HPC infrastructure.
- Manage Linux-based environments (RedHat, CentOS, and related distributions).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot HPC workload management systems, such as Slurm.
- Ensure system availability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Support users and scientific/engineering teams in HPC-related activities.
- Participate in infrastructure improvements and capacity planning initiatives.
- Strong experience as a Linux System Administrator.
- Expertise with RedHat, CentOS , or similar Linux distributions.
- Experience with Bash, Python , or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with HPC Workload Managers , particularly Slurm .
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Ability to work in collaborative and international environments.
- Experience with scientific computing or research environments.
- Knowledge of cluster administration and distributed computing.
- Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and infrastructure management tools.
