Role As a Principal Data Architect, you will design and shape scalable, secure, and business-driven data platforms on Azure. You act as a technical reference for data architecture decisions across complex environments. You collaborate closely with engineers, stakeholders, and leadership to turn data strategy into reality. Your responsibilities will include:
* Design end-to-end data architectures (data platforms, pipelines, storage, analytics).
* Define data models, standards, and best practices for scalability and governance.
* Lead architectural decisions and support complex technical trade‑offs.
* Work closely with data engineers, data modelers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.
* Ensure security, performance, and cost‑efficiency of data solutions.
* Contribute to data strategy and long‑term platform evolution. To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of expertise, experience, and skills including:
* 8+ years of experience in data architecture and/or data engineering roles, with exposure to complex, large‑scale data platforms.
* Deep expertise in data architecture and data modeling, including lakehouse and modern analytics architectures.
* Strong experience designing and delivering scalable, cloud‑native data platforms (Azure preferred).
* Proven ability to translate business requirements into robust, end-to-end technical solutions.
Solid understanding of data warehousing, analytics, and data‑driven use cases.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience interacting with senior‑level stakeholders and leading technical discussions.
