What You Do
Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for AI and software products.
Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent frameworks. Operate and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support AI model training, deployment, and monitoring workloads.
Build and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration platforms). Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance.
Enforce DevSecOps practices, ensuring all infrastructure and pipelines meet Allianz security and regulatory standards. Partner with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams to streamline development workflows and reduce time-to-deployment.
Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response and root-cause analysis for platform issues.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks.
What You Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering role.
Proven experience working in an AI/ML or data-intensive engineering environment is strongly preferred. Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud experience is a plus.
Expert-level knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (Helm, Kustomize). Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile setting.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or equivalent languages. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack, or similar observability platforms. Advanced proficiency with Git and branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development).
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and vulnerability scanning. Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven attitude.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international, cross-functional team environment. Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (German, Spanish) are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MLOps platforms (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML); Familiarity with AI/LLM deployment patterns (model serving, inference optimisation, A/B testing).; Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, HashiCorp Terraform Associate). Experience in a regulated financial services or insurance environment.
Machine learning knowledge is a strong advantage.
