As an AIT Engineer, Harness & Thermal, you play a vital role in ensuring the thermal and electrical integrity of ICEYE's satellite constellation. You will execute hands-on assembly, integration, and testing activities, from harness routing and MLI installation to structural alignment and mission-critical verification. Working across mechanical, electrical, and design teams, you will own technical issues on the production floor and contribute directly to the quality and reliability of spacecraft leaving Valencia ready for orbit. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Assemble, route, and secure complex satellite electrical harnesses, ensuring compliance with routing standards and EMI/EMC best practices for grounding and shielding; Install and verify Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) and thermal protection systems to specification; Conduct alignment, assembly, and verification of mechanical and thermal hardware across satellite production activities; Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues during harness routing and thermal assembly, leading troubleshooting of thermal and electrical connectivity faults; Identify process issues and drive continuous improvement of thermal and harness production workflows, contributing to design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) initiatives; Represent AIT Engineering across projects and disciplines on mechanical and thermal interface topics, ensuring alignment between production and design teams. 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development, integration, testing, or production of complex spacecraft hardware; ~ Deep technical knowledge of harness manufacturing, routing standards, and thermal control materials including MLI; ~ Familiarity with integration, verification, production ramp-up, and configuration management processes; ~ Fundamental understanding of EMI/EMC principles and best practices for aerospace cabling and harness design; ~ Systems engineering mindset, able to identify and resolve issues across mechanical, thermal, and electrical interfaces; ~ Track record of enabling design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) in a production environment; ~ Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) for cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with aerospace standards (ECSS, IPC) and cleanroom practices; Experience with Atlassian Cloud tools (Jira, Confluence); Hiring Manager General Interview; As a global scale-up, we combine speed and ambition with the opportunity to take real ownership from day one.
