As a Software Engineer on our Platform Experience team, you will help design, refine, and deliver core platform capabilities that empower developers and end-users alike. You possess a solid working knowledge of backend and platform architectures, handling moderately complex technical challenges independently under general supervision. You thrive in a collaborative global environment, take initiative, and deliver high-value technical solutions that drive Liferay’s platform vision forward.   If you enjoy solving technical problems and building scalable software that impacts enterprise users globally, this is the position for you. Work in a long-term software product. Your software will be used by thousands of developers and end users around the world. ~Write high quality and maintainable code. Keeping technical debt under control. ~Use Git and GitHub in a daily basis: branches, merges, rebases, pull-requests, etc. ~Work closely with UX Designers and Product Managers to implement the shared vision. 3 years of experience with software engineering best practices: version control, unit testing, etc. ~Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. ~Understand and share the values of agile development. ~Write high quality code using Java, Javascript (React), Freemarker, SQL ~Experience writing enterprise-level code in one or more programming languages. ~if you don’t know something, you’re willing (and capable) of learning it. ~Fully comfortable working in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Understand and share the values of agile development. ~You are open to write Typescript for our frontend applications too (API Explorer and API Builder). ~It's a big plus if you're a contributor to open source, hackathons, meetups or whatever-related to coding.
