Flexible Packaging R&D Specialist

At Köppen Executive, we are supporting one of our clients, a multinational company within the industrial sector, in the search for a Flexible Packaging R&D Specialist. We are looking for a professional with solid experience in R&D, innovation, and the development of flexible packaging solutions, combining strong technical expertise with a business-oriented mindset and an international perspective. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the innovation and technical development of new packaging solutions, from the early stages of design and material selection through to industrialization and market launch. Lead R&D and innovation projects in flexible packaging, coordinating developments through to industrialization. Drive the development of new packaging solutions, with a strong focus on materials, processes, sustainability, and innovation. Coordinate technical teams and projects in an international, multi-site environment. Collaborate directly with customers, suppliers, machinery manufacturers, technology centers, and other external partners. Identify emerging technologies, materials, and market trends that could be incorporated into the innovation pipeline. At least 6 years of experience in the packaging industry, preferably in flexible packaging, or in closely related industrial sectors. University degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes related to flexible packaging. Proven experience managing projects from technical development through to industrialization. Experience managing international and/or multi-site projects. Fluency in English and Spanish. French will be considered a strong asset.
