Senior Engineering Systems Engineer

QIAGEN seeks a Systems Engineer to lead integration of hardware, software, and assay components for in vitro diagnostic instruments. The role involves cross-functional collaboration on system design, verification, and regulatory compliance in Barcelona. Responsibilities Lead integration of mechanical, electronic, and software subsystems in IVD instrumentation Collaborate with Assay Development, Software, Hardware, and QA/RA teams on design decomposition and requirements Design and execute system-level verification and validation protocols Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across multiple engineering disciplines Support design transfer to manufacturing and post-market product improvements Requirements ~ Degree in Engineering, Physics, Biotechnology, or related discipline ~3+ years experience in system integration for medical devices or diagnostics ~ Systems engineering principles and V-model development expertise ~ Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, sensors, and automation systems ~ Knowledge of IVDR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 62304 standards ~ Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken
