Die PositionWho We AreAt Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS), our mission is clear: to diagnose earlier, develop faster, and personalize treatment because every patient is unique.
Within Computational Science & Informatics (CSI), we are the bridge between our origin and our future, shaping the next era of human health through precise, data-driven diagnostics and precision medicine.
We excel in delivering rigorous, clinically actionable data analysis across our diagnostics portfolio, believing that advancing computational methods and informatics solutions is essential to harnessing dynamic human health data. The OpportunityAs a Senior Engineer/Scientist in Electrochemical Method Development, you will be the primary owner of analytical performance specifications for Blood Gas and Electrolyte (BGE) parameters. You will work at the intersection of electrochemistry, advanced mathematics, and medical technology to ensure our diagnostic systems deliver clinical excellence.
Define and optimize electrochemical and optical measurement methods, collaborating across sensor, hardware, and software teams to push the boundaries of diagnostic precision.
Apply modern development techniques, including model?based design and machine learning, to continuously improve data workflows and diagnostic accuracy.dive scientific investigations into product issues, developing innovative remedial solutions to maintain peak performance.
Engineer Performance: Manage tolerance budgets and control all influence factors on analytical results, ensuring strict traceability to global reference materials.
Spearhead the planning and execution of functional and stability tests, using statistical characterization to evaluate system?world product issues, developing innovative remedial solutions to maintain peak performance.
Academic Excellence: You hold a Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field (e.
Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics)
Experience:
You have 7+ years of professional industry related experience.
Standards Expert: You are experienced in working within international guidelines such as ISO *, CLSI guidelines for analytical performance, and Risk Management (FMEA). Data-Driven Thinker: You possess strong skills in mathematical and statistical analysis, with a proactive, hands?Technical Communicator: You excel at presenting complex scientific results to international teams and have a high standard for technical documentation.
Collaborative Mindset: You enjoy working in a regulated, agile environment and have an open mindset toward continuous learning and cross?Communication
Skills:
Fluent English is required.
