Functional Area: Information Technology Working Model: Hybrid As a Healthcare Data Architect within the Group Digital Department, you will play a key role in shaping B. Braun's Digital Foundation by establishing a consistent, interoperable, and business-driven healthcare data architecture across digital health solutions, analytics platforms, and patient-centric services. Functionally guided by the Center of Competence (CoC) Corporate Data Management, you will work closely with product teams, healthcare experts, engineers, architects, and governance stakeholders to ensure that healthcare data can be understood, trusted, governed, exchanged, and reused across the organization. You will be responsible for defining and evolving the healthcare data architecture supporting the Digital Foundation, including the Data Intelligence Platform (DIP) and Data Hub. Your primary focus will be enabling semantic interoperability between healthcare systems, medical devices, clinical workflows, digital health applications, and analytics solutions. The role combines strong healthcare domain expertise with data architecture, interoperability, analytics, and governance capabilities. You will translate clinical and business requirements into conceptual and logical information models, canonical healthcare data structures, reusable data products, and standards-aligned specifications that support advanced analytics, AI, reporting, and secondary use of healthcare data. You will work with healthcare interoperability standards and terminologies including: OMOP Common Data Model The ultimate goal of the role is to ensure that healthcare data remains semantically consistent, interoperable, privacy-compliant, and reusable across the entire healthcare data lifecycle. Define and maintain the target healthcare data architecture for Digital Foundation solutions. Design conceptual, logical, and canonical healthcare information models that accurately represent healthcare concepts, entities, workflows, and business meaning. Ensure alignment between healthcare business requirements, analytical models, interoperability standards, and technical implementations. Develop architecture blueprints and data architecture principles supporting healthcare data integration, sharing, analytics, and AI initiatives. Contribute to the long-term evolution of the organization's healthcare data ecosystem and interoperability strategy. Translate healthcare and business requirements into governed data requirements and information models. Establish common healthcare vocabularies and semantic standards across products and platforms. Design reusable canonical models for patients, encounters, observations, medications, procedures, devices, organizations, practitioners, and related healthcare domains. Define relationships, cardinalities, identifiers, references, provenance, and lifecycle management of healthcare information. Ensure preservation of clinical meaning throughout data transformations and integrations. Define and govern mappings between source systems, healthcare standards, analytical models, and data products. Apply healthcare interoperability standards including: Support interoperability initiatives across hospitals, healthcare providers, medical devices, patient-facing applications, and analytics platforms. Provide architectural guidance for API-based, event-driven, and standards-based healthcare integrations. Define conformance rules and implementation guidance for healthcare solutions. Collaborate with clinical experts and domain specialists to ensure accurate representation of healthcare concepts.
