Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer
- Clearing based in Spain. Much of the work happens behind the scenes, but it is essential to the daily operation of brokerage infrastructure and financial markets. You will own projects from initial concept through deployment, working through ambiguity and focusing on practical, meaningful outcomes. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on high-impact financial infrastructure in a globally distributed, remote environment. Accountabilities:
- Own software projects from ideation through deployment, translating broad business or technical goals into practical systems and solutions.
- Improve existing systems by identifying meaningful opportunities to increase reliability, maintainability, performance, and operational effectiveness.
- Take responsibility for the long-term evolution and scalability of systems, considering both immediate requirements and future business needs.
- Design and implement well-structured RESTful APIs and evaluate existing interfaces for quality and effectiveness.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed software systems.
- Strong practical experience with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Solid foundational understanding of computer systems, networking, databases, distributed systems, and how these systems behave under real-world conditions.
- Experience designing high-quality RESTful APIs and identifying weaknesses in API design.
- Ability to independently lead projects from definition through implementation and deployment, including navigating ambiguous requirements and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt when new information changes the direction of a project and focus on the outcomes that matter most.
