Eterniti Group is accelerating its data-driven strategy and strengthening its Data team. We are looking for a Data Engineer to structure, make reliable and get the most out of our data, in support of our web products and business teams. You will sit at the heart of the data value chain, from collection all the way to delivery in our analytics tools and applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

Data pipelines and data engineering:

  • Design and build data collection, transformation and loading pipelines (ETL/ELT).
  • Structure and model data to meet analytical and application needs.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency and freshness across all systems.
  • Automate data flows between the various sources and destinations.

Analytics and reporting (Metabase):

  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports and key metrics in Metabase.
  • Write optimised queries to feed business dashboards.
  • Help internal teams use and understand their data.
  • Proactively suggest KPIs and data visualisation improvements.

Databases (MongoDB):

  • Design NoSQL data schemas suited to the group’s use cases.
  • Optimise queries, aggregations and indexes to ensure performance.
  • Ensure data consistency and implement migration strategies when needed.

Web projects (Node.js):

  • Contribute to the back-end of the group’s web projects alongside the development teams.
  • Take part in designing application-side data models.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Starting date: as soon as possible 
  • Permanent contract (Indefinite Spanish contract)
  • Full-time position: 40-hours / week

ABOUT YOU

The must-haves:

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Significant experience with MongoDB and a BI tool (ideally Metabase)
  • Experience with NoSQL/MongoDB and a BI tool
  • Knowledge of dbt for data transformation.
  • Familiarity with the Node.js environment
  • Use of AI in service of data
  • Rigor and strong organizational skills in data handling.
  • Curiosity and interest in data valorization.
  • Team spirit and ability to explain technical topics in simple terms.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and ability to propose solutions.
  • Professional English 
  • You are based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (we have a hybrid model) 
Technical Skills:
  • MongoDB: NoSQL modeling, aggregations, performance optimization.
  • Metabase: Dashboard creation, SQL/NoSQL queries, administration.
  • AWS: Strong knowledge of data services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift).
  • Node.js: REST API development, server-side data manipulation.
  • Python and/or TypeScript for scripting and data processing.
  • AI/ML fundamentals: Understanding of core concepts, dataset preparation, LLM API integration.
  • Advanced SQL: Complex queries, optimization, CTEs, window functions
Nice to Have: 
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, n8n).
  • Experience with Metabase
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS/SNS).
