We are seeking a candidate for an IT technician position to join the research team of the ERC Consolidator project DEMODRIVERS. The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out tasks related to phytolith identification using artificial intelligence. The technician will supervise the use of the Olympus VS200 slide scanner microscope and will be in charge of image processing, AI model training, and the maintenance and optimization of code developed by DEMODRIVERS. Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. AI & Machine Learning: Strong background in AI model training, computer vision, image processing, and classification pipelines. Technical

Skills:
Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (specifically PyTorch), and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for image classification.

Experience:
Prior hands-on experience developing and deploying AI models for object identification or detection tasks. Languages: Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken). Eligibility criteria
* Academic record (35) Higher-level professional training (FP2), middle-grade training cycle, bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification 15; Batxillerat in Sciences, Computer Science or Engineering 35
* Experience (35) > 2 years 35; < 2 years 15
* Language skills (10) Spanish C2 5; English C1 5; B2 3; B1 1
