* Design Azure landing zones aligned with the Cloud Adoption Framework (management groups, hub-and-spoke or Virtual WAN topologies, shared services)
* Define multi-subscription (and, where relevant, multi-cloud or multi-account) structure, including environment separation and ownership boundaries
* Architect the Azure Databricks lakehouse: workspace topology per environment and region, Unity Catalog metastore and catalog/schema layout, storage design, and cross-workspace data sharing (including Delta Sharing)
* Architect high availability and disaster recovery solutions: availability zones, multi-region failover, backup strategy, and RTO/RPO targets, including Databricks workspace and Delta table recovery
* Set reference architectures, design patterns, and technology standards
* Review and approve designs from engineering teams; run architecture review boards
* Guide migration strategies and modernization of existing workloads
* Balance trade-offs across cost, performance, security, and operability
* Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical roadmaps
* Mentor engineers and communicate designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Qualifications
* 8+ years in IT, with 4+ years designing cloud solutions
* Deep Azure architecture experience, including landing zones and enterprise networking
* Experience designing Databricks and Unity Catalog based data platforms on Azure
* Proven experience designing HA/DR solutions and running DR tests
* Strong grasp of IAM, networking, and security architecture
* Familiarity with IaC (Terraform/Bicep) sufficient to review and guide implementation Preferred Qualifications
* Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent
* Experience in regulated industries
* Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Platform Architect-level certification #J-18808-Ljbffr
