* Lending since the late 2000s, with €10bn+ of real estate projects financed and several hundred loans closed across several cycles
* Part of a large European credit and real estate investment group, deploying discretionary capital with underwriting kept in-house
* Local teams in most major Western European markets, backed by central credit, execution and asset management
* Tickets from c. €10m to several hundred million euros, across development, bridging, refurbishment, development exit and structured deals such as recapitalisations and loan purchases
* Broad sector appetite: residential, build-to-rent, student housing, co-living, senior living, hotels and leisure, logistics and mixed-use
* Recent Iberian deals span coastal residential, urban regeneration, hotel pipelines and logistics land THE ROLE
* Originate lending opportunities with developers, investors, operators, brokers and debt advisers
* Lead underwriting: development appraisals, cash-flow models and sensitivities on costs, sales values and exit
* Assess sponsors, licensing, construction risk and collateral value
* Structure and price facilities, including leverage, covenants, security and drawdown mechanics
* Write and present credit papers to investment committee
* Run execution from term sheet to first drawdown with valuers, monitoring surveyors and local counsel
* Manage loans after closing, from construction progress and covenants to amendments and extensions
* Coach and review the work of Associates and Analysts
YOUR PROFILE
* VP-level real estate lending or credit experience at a debt fund, alternative lender, bank or debt advisory firm
* A track record in development, bridging or structured real estate loans, ideally in Spain or Portugal
* Strong modelling and credit skills, with a good grasp of loan documentation and security
* An active network among Iberian developers, investors and intermediaries
* Fluent English plus Spanish (Madrid) or Portuguese (Lisbon)
* Commercial, self-directed and at home in a lean local team WHY THIS ROLE
