About the Role
Our client, a US-based full-service marketing agency and close Klaviyo partner, is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to join its email team as a strategist across multiple ecommerce client accounts. You will own the email and SMS strategy for your accounts and the results that come from it. Dedicated designers and builders handle creative and technical execution, so your focus stays on strategy, performance, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Own email and SMS strategy for multiple client accounts in Klaviyo, including flows, campaigns, segmentation, A/B testing, and pop-ups
* Audit new accounts: revenue attribution (flows vs. campaigns), core flow coverage, campaign cadence, segmentation quality, list growth, deliverability health, integrations, and billing/active profile optimization
* Design flow architecture with profile and flow filters, conditional splits, and trigger logic across the full lifecycle (welcome, browse/cart/checkout abandonment, post-purchase, repurchase, winback)
* Build segmentation strategies based on purchase and engagement behavior, including RFM-based segments
* Diagnose and fix deliverability issues, including authentication/domain setup, inbox placement testing, content adjustments, and list hygiene
* Write and review email copy and creative briefs for designers
* Act as the final QA checkpoint before flows go live and campaigns are scheduled or sent
* Report on performance and explain strategic decisions using revenue and engagement data
* Collaborate with the head of email, designers, builders, media buyers, and other marketing teams Requirements
* Hands‑on Klaviyo experience as the primary owner of client accounts, not only sending campaigns
* Ability to clearly explain how core flows work and relate to each other, including flow filters, profile filters, and conditional splits
* Solid understanding of lifecycle marketing and customer progression from first touch to repeat purchasePractical experience troubleshooting deliverability issues
* Experience making and defending decisions with performance and revenue data
* Experience managing multiple ecommerce/DTC accounts at the same time
* Strong written and spoken English Nice to have:
* Complex multi-channel flow architecture (email + SMS)
* Klaviyo integrations, API/custom events, or non-Shopify setups
* Deliverability recovery experience on accounts with low scores
* BFCM campaign planning and execution
* Agency experience
* Exposure to hospitality, B2B, or subscription brands
* Familiarity with Meta/Google attribution Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate thinks in Klaviyo naturally. When asked how a flow should be structured or why an account is underperforming, they answer from real experience, not from a script. They are curious and technically minded, enjoy digging into flow logic and deliverability data, and treat the accounts they manage as their own, including owning outcomes when results drop. They communicate clearly and confidently, are comfortable with occasional client conversations, and work well within a structured team where strategy and execution are split across roles. #J-18808-Ljbffr
