Senior Statistician

We have recently partnered with a leading global CRO, who are looking for experienced Senior / Principal Biostatisticians to join their successful study delivery team. The Senior / Principal Biostatistician will be accountable for the leadership of the Biostatistics and Programming activities of a program of studies of moderate complexity and/or of high value with high impact for the organization. Also responsible for planning, monitoring, organizing and reviewing activities of biostatisticians and programmers working on the assigned program of studies, ensuring individual studies and the overall program of studies and integrated analyses are delivered on time, on budget to required quality. Accountabilities also include maintenance of consistency across studies. As a biostatistician, you will not only be focused on delivering quality results for the client’s needs, but also value working and collaborating in a flexible environment. Although some team members are home-based and others are office-based, the company’s virtual resources support teams to work collaboratively and effectively across the globe. Working together, you will create paths to answers and contribute to new therapies which ultimately will impact the patient.
* This position will be responsible for the leadership of the Biostatistics and Programming activities for moderate complexity studies, including;
* Protocol input such as study design, sample size calculations and patient randomization schemes
* Statistical aspects of case report form design
* Leverage your expertise. Develop complex analysis strategies and execute them using efficient programming techniques (software: SAS, R).
* Preparation of statistical analysis plans including the definition of derived data, and the design of statistical tables, figures, and data listings for clinical summary reports.
* Statistical analyses
* Take quality seriously. Review analysis data sets and quality control all types of statistical analysis deliverables.
* Interpretation of data and reporting of results
* Coach and mentor. Train and uplift junior members of the department.
* Build relationships. Liaise with other biostatistical and company departments to optimize global efficiency.
* Work collaboratively. Coordinate Biostatistics related project activities for successful completion within given timelines and budget.
* Interact with heart. Coordinate with clients with regard to data analysis, scope of work, and budget.
* Experience in statistical analysis in a clinically related subject, either within clinical trials or in Epidemiology Key Qualifications and Skills
* M.
S. or Ph.
D. degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field.
* Experience in statistics, biostatistics or related field
* Proven experience must be in a CRO or Pharmaceutical environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge in applied parametric and nonparametric statistics and SAS programming skills.
* Should be able to translate clients’ needs into statistical practice and educate clients in the use of statistics.
* In-depth knowledge of study designs, and statistical analysis conventions in one or more therapeutic areas.
* Knowledge of clinical trials methodology, regulatory requirements, statistics and statistical software packages, including SAS are necessary.
* Confidence, be self-reliant and a quick learner who enjoys working in a matrixed team
* Good leadership skills
* Strong oral and written English communication skills
