- Remote Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and collaborative Software Engineer to contribute to the development, enhancement, and deployment of new and existing software products. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, a passion for writing high-quality and maintainable code, and the ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional product and engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and backend solutions.
* Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and high-quality Python code following industry best practices.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of new and existing products and features.
* Participate in code reviews, paired programming, testing, debugging, and technical discussions.
* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Take ownership of technical and product‑related decisions and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
* Develop and maintain cloud‑based applications and data‑driven solutions.
* Work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and development processes.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate tools and approaches for different technical requirements.
* Follow an iterative development approach, experiment with new ideas, and continuously improve engineering practices.
* Troubleshoot production issues and support applications through deployment and ongoing maintenance. Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong professional experience with Python development.
* Hands‑on experience with one or more Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.
* Experience working with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
* Experience with data engineering/workflow tools such as Kedro and Databricks.
* Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
* Familiarity with software development lifecycle, CI/CD, version control, testing, and deployment practices.
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills
* Experience developing cloud‑native and distributed applications.
* Understanding of data pipelines, APIs, microservices, and scalable backend architectures.
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
* Ability to evaluate and adopt modern technologies based on business and technical needs.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills.
* A continuous‑learning mindset with enthusiasm for experimenting and improving existing processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
