THE MALAGA BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: MEDICAL SPECIALIST IN MEDICAL ONCOLOGY FOR CLINICAL TRIALS

Research Line: IBIMA-B-05 TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH IN CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY AND EPIGENETICS
Principal Investigator: ANTONIO RUEDA DOMINGUEZ
Location: IBIMA Bionand Platform - Located at Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital. UGC Medical Oncology, Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital - Medical Oncology Service and IBIMA clinical trials building.
Proven experience in the management and treatment of neoplasms in any location. (0.5 points per year up to a maximum of 0.5 points).
Additional and demonstrable training in the management of oncology patients (0.5 points).
Demonstrable training in clinical research at reference centers abroad (0.5 points).
Demonstrable training related to clinical trials (1.25 points).
Proven experience in the management of the Galen Information System (0.25 points per year up to a maximum of 0.25 points).
Proven experience in the recruitment and follow-up of clinical trial patients (1 point per year up to a maximum of 1 point).
Experience in the design and thorough completion of clinical databases, oncological nomenclature, NCI toxicity criteria, and radiological criteria for response evaluation. (0.25 points per year up to a maximum of 0.5 points).
Experience in the evaluation of tumor response by radiological criteria (0.25 points)
Specific Requirements
Medical specialist in medical oncology at the time of joining.

Hiring type: Scientific-technical activities contract. (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law *)
Category: Scientific staff - Principal Investigator
Weekly hours: 17.5 hours per week. 50% part-time. Schedule: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Mon-Wed-Fri, alternating with Tue-Thu.
Estimated duration: Until January 31, **
Gross annual salary: €24,000
Fixed salary: €24,000
Estimated duration: until 01/31/2027 - The contract is tied to the duration of the project/activity/funding.
Selection process
Based on the points obtained in the merits evaluation, at least the three best candidates will be selected for a personal interview where communication skills, work aptitude, and abilities will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only candidates who score at least 50% of the evaluable merits will be eligible for the interview phase.
After the position is awarded, if the selected candidate declines the contract, the hiring committee may decide to choose the next candidate according to the scoring list.
