Be a Spanish national or a national of a Member State of the European Union, or a national of those States to which, by virtue of international treaties concluded by the European Union and ratified by Spain, the free movement of workers applies.
Proof of nationality and the other requirements set out in the call for applications must be provided by means of the relevant documents, certified by the competent authorities in the applicant's country of origin and translated into Spanish, which will be the official language in which the selection process will take place and knowledge of which will be required of all participants.
Those applying for the competitions who do not have Spanish nationality must possess a knowledge of Spanish certified with an official
C1
of the
CEFR
(Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level certification or equivalent. Those whose native language is Spanish are exempt from accrediting the aforementioned C1 level.
Not to suffer from any illness or physical impairment that would prevent the performance of the duties of university professors.
Not to have been dismissed from the service of any public administration as a result of disciplinary proceedings, nor to be subject to absolute or special disqualification from public employment or office by court order, in order to gain entry to the civil service or a civil service grade. In the case of nationals of another State, not to be disqualified or in an equivalent situation which, in their own State, prevents access to public employment on the same terms.

The participation requirements of applicants must be met by the end date of the application submission period and until the moment of taking office.
a) To be accredited for the University Teaching Staff (Full Professors), in accordance with the conditions set out in Royal Decree ** or Royal Decree * of 5 October, as amended by Royal Decree ** of 29 May, which establishes national accreditation for entry into university teaching bodies.

b) Those who have a minimum of two years' active service as career civil servants in the Corps of University Professors may take part in this competitive examination for promotion through the internal promotion system.
