Experteer Overview As a Staff Software Engineer at Factorial, you will lead technical initiatives and work closely with Product and Design to ship AI-native features in production.
You'll build with Rails and React, design scalable systems, and drive adoption of new abstractions across teams.
You'll shape the architecture for AI-enabled product experiences, ensuring reliability, compliance, and real customer impact.
This role offers ownership from problem framing to production rollout and long-term maintenance.

• Own end-to-end systems from problem framing to production rollout and maintenance
• Gather customer context to inform technical choices and AI feature design
• Define how AI features scale, design, run, and maintain them at Factorial
• Promote spec-driven development with clear success criteria and constraints
• Build reusable, scalable components across product domains
• Develop modular AI 'skills' that automate real workflows with safe, traceable actions
• Create monitoring and quality tooling (automatic and human-in-the-loop) for trustworthy AI features
• Ground AI outputs with deterministic data sources balancing accuracy and compliance
• Mentor peers, contribute to hiring, and push for best engineering practices
• Lead key technical decisions that shape engineering culture across the company Responsabilidades
• Solid depth in both backend and frontend software engineering
• Experience shipping real production products (not just prototypes)
• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, and system design
• Experience integrating LLM APIs into product features for real users
• Proven technical and cultural leadership with high standards
• Ability to influence processes and drive adoption of abstractions
• Track record of delivering measurable impact in work or side projects
