About The Role
Tomorrow Universityâs marketing team works across three growth levers: create demand, acquire demand, and convert demand. Weâre a small team, and this role sits at the heart of create demand. Your job is to make videos that help more of the right people discover Tomorrow University, get interested in what weâre building, and see why one of our degrees could be right for them. Video will be your main medium, with YouTube as a priority. Youâll create everything from compelling long-form videos and recurring YouTube formats to Shorts, Reels, social-first content, student stories, and creative for campaigns. Some ideas will come from the team; others will come from you. Either way, youâll know how to turn an idea into something people actually want to watch. Youâll be hands-on across the entire production process: researching ideas, developing concepts, scripting, planning shoots, filming, editing, and delivering finished videos. Youâll also help us produce more without sacrificing quality, using smart workflows, reusable formats, and AI tools where they genuinely make the work better or faster. This is a creative, practical role in a small startup. We donât expect you to arrive with a big-team production background or to own the entire marketing strategy. We do want someone with strong instincts, initiative, and the ability to make great work independently. Youâll collaborate with the wider marketing team, our designer, and part-time creators, and youâll travel regularly when needed to capture people, places, stories, and events. đ ïž What Youâll Do đ„ Take videos from idea to finished product
âą Find stories and angles worth telling, and turn briefs or your own ideas into clear video concepts, hooks, outlines, and scripts.
âą Plan and produce shoots: prepare questions and shot lists, coordinate with the people involved, set up equipment, film interviews and supporting footage, and direct people comfortably on camera.
âą Edit videos yourself, including pacing, sound, captions, graphics, and the finishing touches that make a piece feel complete.
âą Make the most of a shoot by turning footage into multiple useful assets for different formats and channels.
âą Travel when needed to film students, faculty, team members, events, and other stories that are best captured in person. đ Help grow our reach on YouTube and social
âą Create content for YouTube, including longer videos, Shorts, and repeatable series that people want to return to.
âą Think beyond the video itself: strong openings, titles, thumbnails, pacing, and audience retention are part of the creative work.
âą Adapt ideas for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and paid social when relevant, without treating every platform as the same.
âą Stay close to what people are watching, sharing, and talking about, and bring fresh ideas that fit Tomorrow Universityâs audience and voice.
âą Work with our part-time Social Media Coordinator, who handles scheduling, publishing, engagement, and day-to-day channel management. đ€ Make video production smarter and easier to scale
âą Build simple, repeatable production workflows, templates, and formats so we can publish consistently.
âą Use AI tools for tasks such as research, ideation, transcription, rough cuts, captioning, repurposing, localisation, and creative variations when they add real value.
âą Experiment with new AI image and video capabilities while keeping good storytelling, trust, and authenticity at the centre.
âą Collaborate with freelancers, UGC creators, and our designer when a project needs extra capacity or specialist craft.
âą Support programme launches, campaigns, and other marketing work with video assets when needed. đ Learn what works and make the next video better
âą Look at the performance of your work, including views, reach, click-through, watch time, retention, and useful audience response.
âą Work with the marketing team to test topics, hooks, formats, thumbnails, and creative angles.
âą Use what you learn to improve the next video, build on winning formats, and stop spending time on ideas that arenât landing.
âą Care about whether content reaches the right people and helps them move closer to considering Tomorrow University, not just whether it gets views. đ What You Bring
âą Around 2-4 years of relevant experience in video production, content creation, social media, or a similar hands-on creative role. A strong portfolio of work matters more to us than a particular job title or career path.
âą You can take a video from concept to final edit yourself. You donât need a large crew to make something good.
âą You know how to film and edit confidently, whether youâre working with a camera, a phone, or a lightweight production setup. Youâre comfortable with editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
âą You understand how YouTube and social video work: what makes someone click, keep watching, and share something.
âą You can find a good story, write a strong hook or script, and shape raw footage into engaging content.
âą Youâre more than an executor. You notice opportunities, pitch ideas, and find creative ways to bring them to life.
âą Youâre curious about AI-powered production and already experimenting with tools that can help you create and scale video content.
âą Youâre organised enough to manage shoots, files, deadlines, feedback, and several pieces of content at once.
âą Youâre willing and able to travel regularly when needed for shoots, events, and stories.
âą You like learning through making, publishing, looking at the response, and trying again.
âą You believe education can change lives. đ â Nice To Have, Not Required
âą You speak German.
âą Youâve helped grow a YouTube channel or built a recurring video series.
âą Youâve made content for education, edtech, or another category where people take time to make a decision.
âą Youâve worked with creators or produced UGC-style content.
âą You have skills in motion graphics, animation, design, photography, or more advanced post-production.
âą Youâve created video ads or worked alongside a performance marketing team. Perks & Benefits đ± Grow with us At Tomorrow University, we foster lifelong learning. Join us and help reimagine how we learn, grow and build a better tomorrow. At Tomorrow University, we believe in your potential, not your paperwork. Degrees are great, but your drive matters even more đ By submitting this application, I agree that my personal data will be collected, processed and retained by the company solely for the purposes of managing and assessing my candidacy. I couldnât find the celebration leave policy in your Drive, so the wording is general. If you tell me how many days it is and what it covers (for example birthday, wedding, moving house), Iâll make it specific. I also removed the stray âCopy HTML contentâ line, changed âprogramsâ to âprogrammesâ for British English and took out the commas before âandâ. Compensation As an international remote-first organisation, compensation is benchmarked against role level, experience, internal equity, and local market conditions in the candidateâs country of residence. The advertised range reflects the base salary for this role. Depending on the role and seniority level, additional compensation components, such as VSOPs, may also be offered. By submitting this application, I agree that my personal data will be collected, processed, and retained by the company solely for the purposes of managing and assessing my candidacy.
