Commercial Analytics Specialist

For one of our main customers based in Barcelona, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Analytics Specialist to join their Iberia Insights & Analytics team on a temporary basis. This position is ideal for an early-career professional with few years’ experience in marketing analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or commercial operations who is eager to develop their skills within the pharmaceutical industry. This role can also suit an individual with a background in Pharmaceutical Marketing looking to consolidate their career and gain exposure to leadership figures within the business. You will have excellent presentation and data handling skills and will be responsible for producing monthly reports and dashboards using Excel and/or Power BI. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day analytical and reporting needs of the Iberia business, helping commercial teams make data-driven decisions through accurate reporting, dashboard management and data quality activities. Location:
Barcelona (Spain)
• Start date: ASAP.
• Salary range: 28K-30K. Main tasks: Reporting & Dashboard Management
• Prepare and maintain recurring sales, market, and performance reports.
• Owner of the in-market Databases in Spain and Portugal (knowledge on sell-in IQVIA database will be a plus)
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Assist with dashboard testing, validation, and user support. Data Management & Quality Assurance
• Manage and validate data from multiple sources, including sales, CRM, financial, and market data.
• Perform quality checks and identify data inconsistencies.
• Support issue resolution with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Maintain reporting documentation and operating procedures. Business Planning Support
• Support target-setting and incentive compensation validation
• Monitor performance against objectives and highlight key trends. Commercial operation & Insight
• Support Business Units with analytical and ad-hoc requests.
• Support possible Market Research processes in Spain and Portugal
• Help identify trends, opportunities, and risks through data analysis.
• Contribute to the preparation of business presentations and review materials

Requirements:
Education
• University Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Sciences, Data Analytics, or a related discipline. Experience
• 1-2 years of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, sales operations, commercial excellence, market research or similar functions.
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or consulting is an advantage Technical Skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Ability to work comfortably with large datasets. Personal Competencies
