The selected candidate will be supported in applying for one or more competitive predoctoral fellowships, such as the FPU programme, the ACIF programme funded by the Valencian Regional Government, or other relevant funding opportunities. About Our Group The Reproductive Bioengineering Group combines tissue engineering, cell biology, and innovative technologies to investigate processes related to endometrial function, embryo implantation, and maternal–embryonic interactions.

We offer
the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary, dynamic, and collaborative research environment that fosters scientific and professional development. The PhD project will focus on reproductive bioengineering and provide training in:
• Tissue engineering and three-dimensional (3D) models.
• Advanced cell culture techniques, organoids, and organ-on-chip systems.
• Biomaterials and cell–extracellular matrix interactions.
• Endometrial biology, embryo implantation, and reproductive health.
• Molecular biology and advanced microscopy techniques. Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related field.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree GPA of 8.5/10 (Spanish grading scale), established as an internal selection criterion due to the importance of academic performance in the FPU evaluation process.
• Completed Master's degree or currently enrolled in a Master's programme, with eligibility for admission to a PhD programme before the contract is formalised.
• Good command of scientific English.
• Fulfilment of the eligibility requirements established in the official FPU 2026 call. Additional Merits The following qualifications will be particularly valued:
• Previous experience in cell culture, molecular biology, biomaterials, or tissue engineering.
• Participation in research projects, scientific publications, or conference presentations.
• Research stays and international experience. Application Process Interested candidates should submit the following documents by 31 October 2026:
• Updated CV.
• Bachelor's degree academic transcript, including the overall GPA.
• A brief motivation letter explaining their interest in reproductive bioengineering. Important: This announcement concerns the selection of a candidate to apply for competitive predoctoral funding. It is not an already-funded PhD position.
