🌱 Who we are
At Royal Queen Seeds, we’re always growing. Our digital team works from our modern offices just outside Barcelona, where an open, collaborative environment brings together people, ideas, and technology. Today, Royal Queen Seeds is an international brand serving both hobby growers and professional cultivators across Europe and the U.
S. 📖 A bit of history Our roots go back to 2007, driven by a passion for cannabis breeding and genetics. In 2010, we opened our first store in Amsterdam, followed by the launch of the Royal Queen Seeds website in 2011.
Since then, we’ve continued to innovate and evolve, introducing new genetics and innovations such as the F1 Hybrid seeds. 💡Junior Content Creator & Community Manager We’re looking for a Junior Content Creator & Community Manager to join our Communications team and help bring the RQS brand and community to life across social media. You’ll work closely with the Comms Lead and Video Content Creator & Editor to create, publish and manage content across our channels, keep an eye on what’s trending, jump into relevant conversations and help grow our communities. It’s a hands-on role for someone who’s naturally curious, social-media obsessed (in a good way), full of ideas and always asking “wait… could we make this into a post?” 👀 🎯
Key Responsibilities
• Content & Social Media: Support content creation, adaptation and publishing across our different channels and brands, manage day-to-day activity across channels, and help execute content calendars and campaigns.
• Community Management: Manage daily comments, DMs, mentions and community interactions, monitor UGC and brand conversations, and escalate sensitive or high-priority cases when needed. Maintain and build RQS tone of voice.
• Trends & Opportunities: Stay on top of social trends, formats, memes, creators, competitors and industry conversations, and proactively identify relevant content and collaboration opportunities.
• Analytics & Insights: Support social media reporting, monitor content performance and identify trends, best practices and areas for improvement to help inform future content.
• Team Support: Work closely with the Comms Lead, Video Content Creator & Editor and other creative teams on daily priorities, campaigns, activations and ad-hoc social media projects. 📗 The abilities we think would be a great match
• You know what works: You have a good understanding of social platforms and what makes content feel relevant, engaging and native to each one. You basically… just get the vibe.
• You’re always looking for the next idea: Trends, memes, creators, random things you see online… you’re constantly thinking “wait, this could actually work for us.”
• You get community: You enjoy interacting with people, know how to adapt your tone depending on the situation, and genuinely care about building a community, not just replying to comments.
• You’re curious AF and proactive: You like learning, testing new things and keeping up with what’s happening in social, culture and the industry. You spot opportunities, bring ideas to the table and make things happen.
• You have a creative eye: You enjoy design and have a good eye for composition, typography, layouts and visual storytelling. You’re comfortable creating social assets yourself and turning an idea into something that actually looks good.
• You’re comfortable with creative tools: You have some hands-on experience with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite, and can use CapCut to create and adapt short-form content. Experience with Meta and scheduling platforms is also a plus.
• You’re organised: Because behind every “spontaneous” social post, there’s usually a content calendar. You can keep track of platforms, deadlines and multiple projects without losing the plot.
• You’re a team player: You like bouncing ideas around, collaborating with creatives and jumping in to help get things over the line This is not a solo-ride, we are a team 🤝🏼
• You’re adaptable: Social moves fast. Plans change, trends disappear in 24 hours and sometimes the best idea happens five minutes before posting. 🥗 Perks? Oh, we’ve got those
• Make an actual impact: Join a global category leader and have a real say in what we do next.
• Grow while you work: Learn new things, build your skills and keep moving your career forward.
• Good people, good energy: A collaborative, creative environment where things move fast and ideas are welcome.
• Work in an industry that’s never boring: Cannabis is evolving fast, and you’ll be right in the middle of it.
• Barcelona HQ: Our modern offices are just outside Barcelona.
• Bring your furry coworker: We’re a pet-friendly office, because your four-legged colleagues deserve a seat at the table too 🐶🐱
• Free food? Say less: Fresh fruit, snacks, drinks and other office goodies to keep you going
• And yes, the boring-but-important stuff: Competitive employment conditions, because vibes alone don’t pay the bills. 💫What can
we offer
you?
• Competitive salary
• Annual performance-based bonus
• Flexible
working hours
• Hybrid working model
• Personalized development plan and career growth opportunities If you’re reading this thinking “yep, that sounds like me”, we want to hear from you. 👀 Bring your ideas, your social obsession, your creative eye and your questionable amount of time spent online. Let’s see what you’ve got. And one last question… has your mom ever imagined you’d end up working in cannabis?
