Full-Stack Engineer — Industrial AIBarcelona | Full-time | Hybrid coatingAI is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our growing team and help build the software powering the next generation of intelligent industrial coating systems. We are a technology startup combining AI, software, 3D measurement, and industrial automation to make powder-coating processes smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. You’ll work across products such as CoPilot, Blueprint, FlightPath, and customer-specific industrial applications, building technology that moves from code to real factories. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys ownership, solving complex problems, and working in a fast-moving environment where your decisions have a direct impact on the product and the company. What we’re looking for
• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
•
• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
•
• Strong experience with Python and Django.
•
• Professional experience with Vue, React, or another modern frontend framework.
•
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
•
• Experience designing and building REST APIs and relational database schemas.
•
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, and automated testing.
•
• Professional proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken.
•
• Ability to take ownership of a feature and move it from an idea to a reliable production solution.
•
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to debugging complex systems.
•
• Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can evolve and engineers are expected to take initiative.
•
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Valuable additional experienceYou don’t need to know everything below, but experience in some of these areas would be valuable:
• Vue 3, TypeScript, Vuetify, Pinia, and Vite.
•
• Celery, Redis, pytest, and Django REST Framework.
•
• Experience with other Python backend frameworks, such as FastAPI or Flask.
•
• GCP, Vertex AI, AWS, or containerized cloud deployments.
•
• MQTT, WebSockets, PLCs, IoT, or industrial automation.
•
• NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or production ML systems.
•
• 3D visualization or computer vision.
•
• Manufacturing, robotics, industrial software, or Industry 4.0 applications.
•
• Experience using AI-assisted or agentic coding tools to plan, implement, review, and debug software changes, such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
•
• Good judgment in reviewing AI-generated code, validating assumptions, and maintaining code quality rather than relying on automated output blindly.
