Position Summary
The Procurement Manager of Delivery BAZ01 & BAZ02 is responsible for managing procurement execution for IREN Spain’s BAZ01 and BAZ02 data center projects, from approved sourcing strategy and package tendering through contract award, expediting, delivery and commercial close-out. The role ensures that equipment, materials and services are procured in line with project schedules, technical requirements, budget parameters, contractual standards and IREN’s supplier expectations, supporting safe, reliable and timely delivery of high-performance, power-dense infrastructure.
Based in Madrid and reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the role coordinates the procurement activity assigned to BAZ01 and BAZ02 and directly manages the Procurement Managers supporting the two delivery phases. It works closely with Development, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, Legal, Logistics, Activation, Supplier Qualification and site teams, while maintaining effective commercial relationships with suppliers and contractors.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager of Delivery BAZ01 & BAZ02 is responsible for:
• Manage the end-to-end procurement plan for BAZ01 and BAZ02, translating approved project schedules, technical scopes and budget requirements into coordinated tendering, award and delivery priorities that support construction and commissioning milestones.
• Coordinate competitive sourcing processes for assigned equipment, materials and services by preparing procurement packages, issuing enquiries, aligning technical and commercial evaluations, supporting negotiations and documenting award recommendations in accordance with IREN’s governance requirements.
• Oversee purchase orders and contracts after award, monitoring supplier submittals, manufacturing milestones, inspections, logistics interfaces, delivery dates, variations, claims and close-out actions to protect cost, schedule, quality and contractual outcomes.
• Maintain accurate procurement schedules, package registers, commitments, forecasts, risk and issue logs, savings records and management reports, providing clear visibility of delivery status, decisions required and exposure across BAZ01 and BAZ02.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, Legal, Logistics, Activation, Supplier Qualification and site teams to resolve scope, specification, commercial, documentation and delivery matters before they affect project execution.
• Manage and support the Procurement Managers assigned to the BAZ01 and BAZ02 delivery phases, allocating packages, reviewing outputs, aligning priorities and promoting consistent application of procurement procedures, records and controls.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations, IREN’s Supplier Code of Conduct and applicable safety, integrity, confidentiality and regulatory requirements, escalating material deviations and coordinating corrective actions when necessary. Requirements
• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline; a relevant professional procurement qualification will be positively valued.
• Minimum 7–10 years of procurement experience in capital projects, including responsibility for complex equipment, construction or service packages from tendering through delivery and close-out.
• Experience coordinating several concurrent procurement workstreams and supervising or guiding procurement professionals within schedule-driven project environments.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, commercial evaluation, contract and purchase order administration, supplier performance, change control, claims, expediting, logistics interfaces and procurement reporting.
• Ability to interpret technical scopes, project schedules and commercial information, identify delivery and contractual risks, and coordinate practical actions with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with SAP or comparable ERP and procurement systems, document management platforms and project reporting tools is desirable.
• Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; experience in data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, energy, industrial construction or other fast-paced capital delivery environments will be positively valued. Compensation
