Site Manager

SunPork Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to lead our Nagambie Piggery in Victoria. About the Role

As Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Nagambie Piggery, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the site.

Leading a small team, you'll foster a positive workplace culture, maintain high standards of animal welfare and biosecurity, and drive continuous improvements across production, people, and site performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of a 500-sow breeding piggery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team to achieve production and business objectives.
• Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, and workplace safety.
• Monitor breeding and production performance, implementing improvements where required.
• Coordinate staffing, rostering, and daily work priorities.
• Oversee site maintenance, infrastructure, and equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Monitor production records, budgets, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legislative requirements.
• Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and neighbouring properties.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience managing or supervising a commercial piggery or intensive livestock operation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A sound understanding of pig production, animal welfare, biosecurity, and workplace health and safety.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to coordinate routine maintenance activities.
• Competency using production management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• A commitment to achieving production targets while maintaining high welfare standards.
