The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional to join a highly regarded advisory platform and play a key role in the execution and origination of transactions across Spain and the broader European market.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers and clients, lead the day-to-day execution of live mandates, and contribute to the continued growth of an established and expanding M&A franchise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of sell-side, buy-side, merger, carve-out, and strategic advisory engagements.
  • Act as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, investors, management teams, and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence processes, and transaction documentation.
  • Manage and mentor Analysts and Associates, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client work.
  • Coordinate transaction processes from marketing through to signing and completion.
  • Support business development efforts through pitch preparation, client relationship management, and market coverage initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with private equity investors, corporates, entrepreneurs, and advisers across Spain and Europe.
  • Contribute to the continued expansion and strategic growth of the franchise.

Candidate Requirements

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience within Investment Banking, M&A Advisory, Corporate Finance, or a related transaction environment.
  • Strong track record of executing M&A transactions and managing complex deal processes.
  • Excellent financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading junior team members and coordinating transaction workstreams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an interest in building client relationships and supporting origination efforts.
  • Exceptional project management and organisational capabilities.
  • Fluent Spanish and English are required.
  • Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
