Position: Head of Financing and Commercial Development Location: Madrid, Spain Who are we recruiting for: Our client is a financial platform specializing in renewable energy investments, including large-scale solar and wind projects, along with storage and self-consumption solutions. They enable institutional investors to efficiently allocate capital by providing carefully selected opportunities tailored to their needs What will you be doing: Lead and manage a dedicated financing program aimed at supporting SMEs. Develop commercial opportunities and establish strong relationships with clients, investors, and strategic partners. Assess SME financing needs and propose tailored solutions, including debt and equity structures. Collaborate with internal teams, including risk, product, and technology, to optimize financing processes and solutions. Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and risk assessment to support decision-making. Represent the company in meetings with clients, institutional investors, and other stakeholders. Stay up to date with market trends in alternative financing, direct lending, and SME banking. Support strategic initiatives such as project finance, M&A, and institutional investment programs as required. Are you the ideal candidate? Experience in corporate banking (Spain or international) focused on SMEs, senior finance roles in a SME, or mid-market direct lending/alternative finance funds. Knowledge in project finance, debt structuring, equity, M&A, or institutional investment is highly valued. Strong commercial and analytical mindset. Proactive, autonomous, results-oriented, and innovative approach. Passion for applying technology to financial services. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Spanish: native; English: fluent.
