Senior Accountant at Savana
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing key financial processes at Savana, including intercompany transactions, accounting review, tax compliance, and billing. The role supports revenue management processes and cash flow analysis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, the Senior Accountant promotes continuous improvement in financial accuracy and operational efficiency while providing analytical support for decision‐making and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The position also guarantees strict adherence to internal security policies and procedures while promoting continuous improvement in financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Review and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
- Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external advisors.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
- Support rolling revenue forecasts and cash flow analysis.
- Lead financial audits and prepare statutory filings (e.G., annual accounts).
- Prepare technical memorandums and perform financial analyses to support business decisions.
- Operate in full compliance with Security Policies, Procedures, and Manuals.
- Report any suspected incidents or propose improvements to enhance processes and controls.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting from a Spanish university. A Master's Degree or specialization in taxation or auditing will be valued.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting, ideally within international environments or multi‐entity structures.
- Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of Spanish tax regulations, particularly VAT (SII system) and Corporate Income Tax (IS). Proven experience in preparing and coordinating financial audits and statutory accounts. Understanding of intercompany transactions, consolidations, and cross‐border operations. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, especially NetSuite, including reporting, consolidation, and process automation functionalities.
- Ability to supervise and mentor a junior accountant, acting as the main liaison between the Head of Finance and the operational team.
- Effective coordination with local tax advisors in other countries to ensure timely and compliant filings for foreign subsidiaries.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, organizational and planning ability, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
