Transport Operations Team Lead

At DHL Supply Chain LLP Alfafar, we are looking for an Operations Lead to lead and coordinate a team of Transport Coordinators, ensuring the efficient management of sea and/or road transport operations between suppliers and customers.

The role will have a strong focus on transport operations, leading a team of sea/road Transport Coordinators and ensuring the achievement of agreed operational KPIs. In addition, the Operations Lead will actively participate in the implementation of new logistics solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

What will your main responsibilities be?

• Lead and coordinate daily transport operations, with a strong focus on processes.
• Manage carrier capacity and ensure efficient transport execution across the network.
• Monitor operational KPIs and manage issues related to service levels, costs and transport reliability.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives within operations.
• Lead cost investigations and 8D analyses related to the Route Management process.
• Provide operational leadership to the Transport Coordinators team, ensuring a balanced workload distribution and achievement of objectives.
• Act as the main escalation point for operational or resource-related issues.
• Participate in the testing and implementation of new logistics solutions, ensuring alignment between systems, processes and business needs.
• Ensure operations are carried out in accordance with internal documentation and standards.

What are we looking for?

• Educational background in Transport, Logistics, International Trade or a related field.
• Experience leading operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of sea and/or road transport operations and carrier management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Data-driven mindset, with the ability to make decisions based on data and KPIs.
• Ability to lead teams in dynamic operational environments.
• C1 level of English.
