About the role

As a PEP & Sanction Screening Analyst, you will be part of the Financial Crime Unit, a key team in ensuring seQura's products and processes meet our regulatory requirements. You will be analyzing emerging risks linked with our customers' profiles when those are flagged as a potential sanctioned individual or politically exposed person. 

What challenges you'll be solving

• Analyze and assess profiles: Review alerts related to potential matches for sanctioned individuals, adverse media, or PEPs and escalating specific cases that require deeper investigation. 

• Conduct quality checks: Perform quality checks on a sample basis for customers approved through automated systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. 

• Perform Shopper's risk assessments: Conduct detailed customer risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with our clients. 

• Perform enhanced due diligence: Ensure appropriate client documentation is captured and provide timely onboarding for new consumer customers. 

• Perform documentation requests and reviewing for accuracy and legitimacy, taking account action where required. 

• Additional Financial Crime related tasks, where appropriate.

What you'll need  

• You have a natural tendency to be curious and think outside of the box. 

• You have an analytical and critical mindset. 

• You have an affinity for Onboarding/KYC/CDD and operational processes and you are interested in learning more about it. 

• You can speak and write Spanish & English fluently. 

• Experience in AML/ fraud prevention or a related field is a plus.
