About the Job
We are looking for a skilled Data and AI Engineer to join the Allianz Data Platform team, specializing in Azure Databricks. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain cutting-edge data and AI solutions that power analytics and innovation across Allianz Group. You'll work in a global, forward-thinking environment where you'll have the chance to shape enterprise-scale data platforms, collaborate with top experts, and apply your skills to impactful business challenges.

What You Do

• Design, build, and test scalable data applications and AI solutions (ML models, Agentic AI) in an enterprise setup.

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Spark to process and transform large datasets.

• Implement ETL processes and optimize data architectures to support analytics and machine learning workflows.

• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models using Databricks and Azure Machine Learning services.

• Ensure compliance with Allianz's data governance, security, and privacy requirements.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

• Stay current with cloud and AI technology trends to drive innovation across Allianz Group.

What You Bring

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.

• Proven experience with Azure Databricks and Spark for data processing and analytics.

• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Lake, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure Machine Learning.

• Ability to design and implement scalable data applications, ML models, and AI architectures.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data/AI Engineer in Azure or a similar role.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and practical applications.

• Industry certifications in Microsoft Azure or Databricks are a strong plus.
