Planning Sr Manager

The Planning Sr Manager implements the development of the Demand and Supply Plans for all channels in the EU region. This position is critical to ensure that high quality aligned demand plans are developed by leveraging the best available cross-functional inputs and applying judgment based on knowledge of the business, historical analysis and alignment to overarching seasonal strategy. He/she will be primarily responsible for guiding the Planners through this seasonal process.

This position will ensure the Planners will focus on cross-functional and cross-regional partnerships to effectively produce timely forecasts that help align the long-term company goals.

The individual will participate in the Seasonal Forecast and Buy meetings and assist in preparing the Global Buy Approval and S&OP meeting data for the Planning Director to review with the executive team. The Planning Manager will focus on implementing processes to improve forecast accuracy. This position will work with planners for each product category to develop accurate, high quality forecasts for specific channels, customers or regions by utilizing best-practice processes and sound business knowledge.

Essential Functions

• Lead the development of accurate, high-quality SKU-level demand plans for all channels and regions, leveraging best practices and cross-functional insights.
• Guide and coach Planners across all brands to ensure consistent seasonal forecast processes.
• Partner with Global Demand and Supply teams to ensure smooth handoff of production buys and manage communication regarding potential delays.
• Participate in Seasonal Forecast, Buy, Global Buy Approval, and S&OP meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
• Develop and monitor forecast accuracy, track KPIs, and report results regularly.
• Oversee inventory management processes, including sell-in/sell-through, ATS, and slow-moving inventory reporting.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to integrate strategic plans into demand and buy plans.
• Implement processes and tools to improve forecast quality and accuracy across categories.

General Duties

• Lead, train, and mentor Planners to strengthen the overall planning team's capabilities.
• Maintain alignment between regional planning activities and global strategies.
• Identify and escalate inventory or forecast risks to senior management.
• Support DTC channels and other operational initiatives as needed.
• Analyze historical data and trends to drive planning decisions and process improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Demand Planning function.
• Experience in a seasonal industry such as fashion, apparel, footwear, or sports equipment is highly preferred, with understanding of seasonal peaks, fashion cycles, and demand volatility.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects across several categories within tight timelines.
• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerBI.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices to work effectively with Production teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform under pressure, make confident decisions, and prioritize effectively.
• B.A./B.S. required; MBA a plus.
