is conducting a confidential search for a
Senior Tax Accountant
to join its finance team at a key production site in
Zona Franca, Barcelona
. This strategic role focuses on tax compliance, planning, and reporting, and requires a proactive professional with strong technical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage direct and indirect tax obligations, including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding taxes.
- Ensure full compliance with Spanish and international tax regulations.
- Lead tax audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Provide tax advisory support for operational and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to assess tax implications of business activities.
- Maintain and improve tax reporting processes using
SAP
. - Monitor tax legislation changes and assess their impact.
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; additional tax qualifications are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting, ideally in an industrial or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of Spanish and international tax frameworks.
- Fluent in English
(spoken and written). - Advanced SAP user
(mandatory). - Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Own vehicle required
due to location in Zona Franca.
