Enghouse Interactive is looking for a pro-active, detailed-orientated Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Barcelona (Spain).

This is a Hybrid role from our Barcelona office reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for and a contributor to the monthly and quarterly closing process as it relates to Bank Transactions, Payroll, Accruals, Deferred Expenses, I/C and Taxes.
  • Monthly close review and B/S accounts Reconciliations except for AR and AP accounts.
  • Fixed Assets
  • Payroll:
  • Monthly payment process until release: manage monthly variances (on call, overtime, discounts (benefits payable by employee, terminations, …)
  • Manage monthly Employee benefits
  • Ensure compliance with any local Payroll payments obligation, include taxes
  • Payroll accruals: commissions, vacations, bonus
  • Ensure compliance with local Tax obligation (VAT and WH taxes)
  • Ensure compliance with any local accounting obligation
  • Cash Management (bank account control)
  • I/C Processing and control of balances
  • INE inquests
  • Assisting with the provision of schedules in support of the year-end statutory audits
  • Local Administrative support

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimun 3-year experience in General Accounting and tax preparation
  • Knowledge and experience of using accounting system Great Plains or similar
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs/Pivot tables)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to day to day operations
  • Methodical, attentive to detail, and able to process a large volume of transactions
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a strong and flexible attitude towards work
  • Able to work under pressure and make decisions – flexible and adaptable
  • Fluent in Spanish and English. Desirable, Portugues, French, and Italia
