The Marketing Analytics team is responsible for executing the cross-portfolio analytics initiatives for Scopely's User Acquisition teams.
What will you do?
As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will be part of the Marketing Analytics team which is responsible for executing the cross-portfolio analytics initiatives for Scopely's User Acquisition teams.
- Analyze large, complex data sets representing the behaviour of millions of online and mobile game players to address strategic and operational business questions supporting our Marketing Leadership org.
- Collaborate with diverse marketing stakeholders to understand their needs and collect requirements
- Collaborate with the Finance leadership team to bridge UA operations with Finance targets, which will set the strategy of UA budgeting cross portfolio
- Surface valuable insights to ensure that the capital allocation strategy for our largest area of investment results in the highest and best outcome for the business
- Collaborate and work closely with our data product, analytics engineering and data scientists teams to deliver insightful analyses and help build our data products that bring strategic fit, user value and business value.
- Contribute to the development of predictive models to support better decision making around budget optimization.
What We're Looking For
- 3-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst - a background in performance marketing and mobile free-to-play gaming is strongly preferred
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, hard-working and a good business intuition are a must
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in attribution models, reactivation frameworks, Incrementality measurement and LTV, budget optimization & allocation and Governance models.
- Preferred experience in applying marketing modeling techniques e.g. media mix modeling, time series forecasting, segmentation / clustering.
- Advanced skills utilizing analytics tools and languages used to manipulate and export data in large data sets (SQL) and to analyze/automate (Python preferred / R) - exposure to Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is a plus.
- Working Knowledge of visualization tools: Looker (Preferred), Qlikview, Tableau or PowerBI.
- Strong presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate complex results throughout an organization
- Bachelor Degree - Masters degree a plus - in a quantitative or scientific field such as Math/Stats, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or similar
- A love or strong desire to work with mobile / games
