For our office in Barcelona, we are looking for an:
Sales Support Officer Trainee (f/m/d)
in Spain and reporting to the Sales Support Supervisor.

Mission:

As a Sales Support Officer Trainee, you'll play a key role in strengthening customer relationships and maximizing vessel capacity. You'll be the backbone of our sales operations, supporting both Inside and Outside Sales teams, by ensuring smooth administrative processes and delivering top-tier service, all without managing a direct customer portfolio.

Functions:

  • Proactively follow up on idle shipments and customer quotations.
  • Track and manage Sales Quotations (SQ) nearing expiration or not yet booked.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate Market ID data.
  • Liaise with pricing teams on freight rates and DDSM claims.
  • Promote CMA CGM Group Support Services and Value-Added Services (VAS).
  • Handle and follow up on customer complaints.
  • Support dispute resolution processes.
  • Provide backup support for Outside Sales during client visits.
  • Keep customer information up to date and assist with reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of customer needs and behaviors.
  • Familiarity with commercial policies and service offerings.
  • Analytical mindset and business intelligence skills.
  • Proactive approach to commercial initiatives.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Comfortable use of software tools and IT applications.
