Overview:

We are looking for a talented
Senior Compliance Specialist
to join our Compliance team. The responsibility is to support Midea Region Europe in being compliant with applicable laws, regulations and policies as well as ensuring internal values and integrity behaviors providing support to all stakeholders. You will develop, implement and oversee a comprehensive compliance and risk management program working closely with the business, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and promoting a culture of compliance throughout the European region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, update, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and processes, ensuring harmonization across countries and alignment with Headquarters Compliance.
  • Assess and conduct compliance risk assessments, manage operational risk matrices, and oversee the criminal prevention model and related controls, including supervision, monitoring and rollout to other European countries.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, addressing day-to-day compliance matters and leading cross-functional compliance projects.
  • Manage and monitor anti-bribery, conflict of interest, third-party due diligence processes, and other compliance risk areas.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs (online and in-person), including preparation of materials, presentations, tracking, updates, and rollout across countries.
  • Manage the European whistleblowing channel, including internal investigations and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and governance committees.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in compliance and ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of applicable requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including background in a Big Four firm and/or law firm, with strong exposure to compliance frameworks, internal investigations, and delivery of compliance programs in multinational environments.
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in compliance matters.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Law required.
  • Spanish Compliance certification and qualification required.
