Field IT Specialist

Are you an IT Specialist eager to play a key role improving our overall offer for our customers?

As one of our Field IT specialists you will be building the foundations of a healthy and robust IT infrastructure in our customers laboratories, by installing our hardware materials, updating our installed base to the latest OS and software versions and contributing to establishing a customer's high level of satisfaction.

THESE ARE THE ELEMENTS OF THE JOB

1. Integrate our solutions with customer IT infrastructure:

  • Audit existing customer IT infrastructure, including networking, security requirements.
  • Consult with customer and with our sales organization on the solution design.
  • Install and configure our solution software on physical or virtual infrastructure.
  • Connect our instruments and software with each other, and with the customer Laboratory Information Systems
  • Validate and qualify the data flow between all components.
  • Document the architecture and report on the installation project.

2. Support the customer post-deployment:

  • Install our remote service solution.
  • Diagnose and repair systems remotely or on site.
  • Act as customer focal point for IT & integration problem resolution
  • Maintain close contact with our Level 2 service organization to escalate important issues and for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Roll-out upgrades in coordination with our customers
WHO YOU ARE
  • IT Bachelor or Master in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in Information Technology are a must as well as background in IT technologies and concepts including network, databases, middleware, interfaces, and applications
  • You master network basics and platform configuration (IP/Subnet mask / Gateway / routing / Firewall / VLAN / ) and have experience in Windows OS installation and maintenance and in Virtual Machines.
  • Experience in the IVD Space and knowledge of Salesforce and SAP are a plus
  • You want the best for the customer for whom you use your ability to analyze, recommend, and challenge proposals to create the most effective solutions
  • In your daily work, you need to be able to deliver clear messages, to organize yourself and to multi-task
  • You are happy in a moving and challenging environment with an individual travel time of up to 60% of your time
  • You need to be fluent in English (oral and written); with your customers in Germany you are able to exchange in German.
  • bioMérieux system knowledge would be highly appreciated
