Operations Business Solutions IT Manager

Hello We are Volotea, the airline of small and mid-sized cities in Europe.

As Operations Business Solutions IT Manager, you will act as the IT business partner for Operations, owning the IT strategy, roadmap, governance, and delivery of digital solutions that directly support airline operations. You will combine strong knowledge of airline operational processes with end-to-end accountability for translating business needs into impactful, reliable, and scalable IT solutions.

How will it be to work with us?

Operations IT Business Partnership

Act as the primary IT partner for Operations, aligning IT strategy with operational priorities and leading demand planning based on business value.

Strategy, Roadmap & Governance

Define and own the Operations IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with safety, efficiency, compliance, and cost goals, while providing clear governance and executive reporting.

Solution Definition & Delivery

Translate operational needs into scalable digital solutions and oversee end-to-end delivery, ensuring smooth transition to support and maintenance.

Vendor & Budget Management

Manage vendors, contracts, and RFPs, while owning the Operations IT budget to ensure cost control and value optimization.

Portfolio Management & Continuous Improvement

Oversee the Operations IT application portfolio, monitor performance KPIs, and drive continuous improvement and digitalization.

People Leadership & Communication

Lead and develop IT teams, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure effective communication with Operations and IT stakeholders.

Scope of Systems

Includes ground operations, OCC and crew control, maintenance and engineering, safety and quality systems, operational messaging, and aircraft manufacturer platforms.

What will make you succeed in this position:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an IT Manager or IT Business Partner leading digital initiatives.
• Experience in airline Operations or other mission-critical operational environments.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end IT solutions with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and customer-centric mindset.
• Solid understanding of software development, integrations, SaaS solutions, and architecture.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and complex IT programs.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, operationally critical environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken). Spanish is a plus.
